i'll admit USUALLY my first dates involve getting dressed up with dinner and the whole romantic shebang lol. i did dress up sorta, khaki shorts and golf shirt. didn't want mom to meet me in t-shirt and shorts haha. plus didn't think button up and khaki pants would be appropriate either.
with that being said it is up there in the top 3 in terms of dates i've had. everyone had fun, mom made this amazing chip dip with cheddar cheese, chili and cream cheese = YUM. everyone was laid back not uptight, made for a great atmosphere.
And you saved some bucks. This one is a winner and don't let anyone tear you down.

You were so correct--I'm probably her mother's age and I wouldn't have bought it--I would have made a little note: *insincere*
Is that a good thing...? Moms tend to like those guys their daughters don't like.
Well, I don't make it a habit of going after 15 year-olds, so I haven't run into that problem with grown women yet. But if I do, it's always good to have contingencies, don't you know. http://www.cherryfairy.com/Images/lecture.gif (broken link)
alright so we're going out again Wednesday night. we're suppose to go out last Saturday but she had some things that side tracked, no biggie. any 2nd date ideas anyone wants to throw out. Wednesday in my experience is not a huge date night. i have some ideas but am open to recommendations :-).
While it's awkward, provided the girl and her family aren't crazy in any sense and the next few dates are just the two of them alone, I think it's kind of cool and refreshing. Everyone has this perfect notion of a perfect date and a perfect partner. I bet he could tell a lot more about her in what it could take weeks to learn and feel out.
........however it was one of the better first, second, third, etc.... dates i've had in a LONG time.
girl i've been talking to for a couple of weeks, had to yet to go out with called me during the day yesterday and since we'd been unable to actually get together invited me to her place for game night with her and her mother??? she admitted up front that it was an awkward idea but i said yes without any hesitance. showed up with roses for her and ingredients for mom to make some sort of chip dip. 4 hours later and 3 board games played amongst the 3 of us and this girls next door neighbor (another girl, yes myself and 3 ladies) and i was pooped haha.
she and i had never met face to face, just spoken over the phone several times. anyone find this date totally weird??? i'll admit from the outside looking in yes, but i got along great with mom and even better with the girl (lots of playful banter and physical flirting on her part even in front of mom, wonder if that's normal or not).
just figured i'd share is all.

[so did you finish the job?]
haha, mom who was i'd ball park mid 50's was actually not bad. i say mid-50s but she could pass for early 40s. so....if mom is a glimpse in to what daughter will look like in the future i don't have any worries haha. daughter is a dance teacher with a dancer's body also so.... yea.
had cheesy 70s music come on it woulda been on. lol
on a sadder note i guess, just received word that tonight's date is canceled....well being pushed to Thursday night. she text messaged me saying that she totally forgot she had plans with some of her friends for dinner tonight. sent 2 more texts telling me how sorry she was and so we are going out for date #2 tomorrow instead of tonight. this has now happened on 3 different occasions where we make plans and literally hours before hand she'll text me and say she forgot she had something else. Is this sketchy or should I not worry too much and continue to go with the flow? right now i'm going with the latter option and not making a big deal about it b/c i didn't have any other plans anyways for the following night so who cares right?
