those kinds of people fascinate me. I'd probably hang out with them solely cuz they fascinate me. This is why I'm a psych major. People plain fascinate me.
I too find them fascinating. I have had many a long discussion on these types of personalities. I am always aware of people and their relationships when I am in public places..I can tell so much about their life simply by their behavior.
I wouldn't say it denotes healthy emotional states, but to some people dating is a social symbol (getting more dates makes them feel/look cooler than others).
It's all things to all people though, since it's just different life interests.
