In the Schrute family, we have a tradition, where when the male has sex with another woman, he is rewarded with a bag of wild oats left on his doorstep by his parents. You can use these oats to make oatmeal, bread, whatever you want. I don't care—they’re your oats

So that their languages are different than ours makes them less communicative? What we know about animal communication or don't know could fill volumes. But I would venture a guess that we would stand pretty mute and foolish among both apes and whales.

Discussion of evolution is fine within the context of this thread. A debate about creation versus evolution would go in Religion, but if a person's answer to the question is, "People evolved to do such-and-such," then there's no problem with that.
