Besides Antartica and the polar regions I would agree that very small towns are the worst. I spent a lot of time growing up in Montana in some of the little ranching communities where I had relatives. I don't think my Father's hometown even had 100 people. My cousin has lived her whole life there and did manage to find a husband but for the most part the goal of young people who grow up in these places is just to get the hell out.

If you see as many women in that photo as men then you are legally blind. Second, obese women are not voluptuous they are FAT. Theres a big difference between Christina Hendricks and the fatties I see in the US.

You are right about that. That is the unfortunate truth about ranching communities; unless you are going to do that there isn't much else in town. Probably most of your married classmates met their spouses in college. It is very rare to meet anyone in a town like that.

One of the worst places for a guy to be single is Wyoming. The ratio is not in our favor at all since most of the jobs are mining-related and there are not many women doing those jobs. The small population of the state doesn't help.

Unless you're female.

Any place that advertises itself as "family-friendly" is probably a terrible place to be a single person.

Gerania, Wyoming would be a great place for single women. What is funny is how often I hear women complain about the men in town. Apparently there is quantity but no quality. Passionathearts, I think you are also right about the label "family friendly."

That's the problem in many places. I don't think there's any shortage of losers here, either.
