That's the problem in many places. I don't think there's any shortage of losers here, either.
We have plenty of losers. It seems like people here like to go back to school after being married once or twice and/or having several kids who may or may not know their fathers.
America probably is the worst for guys because of the obesity problem. Which leads to fewer attractive girls and higher competition. So basically in certain parts of the US you could be a good looking guy and left with scraps because of the shortage.
More often then not if you are a single male in the US out on the prowl this is what you will have to deal with on a Saturday night:

Then ofcourse men get frustrated and flood online dating dates(especially free ones). This leads to average looking women getting 60+ emails a day. And why 99% of men on those sites get few responses.
Most guys who waste their time on dating sites are doing just that...wasting their time. Online dating is completely slanted towards women if you stop to consider how males and females interact with and evaluate each other.
I think most cities are going to be good for singles. As someone else mentioned, small towns are less than ideal.
