This morning, almost a full week after those explosions at the base, the local media finally decided to "inform" the public! According to them, DM gave "little" warning to the public. Guess what the "little" warning was?! A message on their FB page about an hour earlier! As if everybody's their buddy checking their FB on an hourly basis! Naturally, Raytheon was involved, too. That's where the stuff they needed to get rid of from came. And naturally, they lied through their teeth... because that's what they do! At first they said on FB the explosions were pre-planned (maybe that's where my neighbors saw what it was about) and then a few days later turned around and said it was an emergency (likely after they got all the flack for it).
Oh, and actually the spin of the article was more about people being unable to get through to 911 because the lines were busy. Imagine if you happened to need them for a crime or health emergency...
When major disaster strikes like Sept.11th and even minor situation like the earthquake that hit the north east...the first system that fails is cell phones,911 call operations in NYC. The only thing that cell phones were good for on 9/11 was to help light the way of people walking over the NYC bridges like 59th St.

Well, nothing of that nature happened here. I guess 911 is equipped and staffed to handle a dozen of calls or so at a time.
