So I went outside today to give my lawn guy his check for the month and while we were talking about how the drought has affected the lawn he suddenly blurts out "you're so beautiful, why aren't you married?"
WTF?
(background info) This guy has been taking care of my lawn for two years. He's married with grown kids, or maybe one still in high school. English is not his first language.
Is it any of his business? I wasn't even sure how to respond. I have answers I'd give if I was on a date, but this took me by surprise. I just said something like, thank you, I almost got married but things didn't work out, and I'm happy with my life the way it is.
btw, at the time, I was dressed in running clothes, hair pulled back, and kinda sweaty.
Maybe it was an expression in his native language, and the meaning got lost in translation.
lol
Well who knows what he meant but him? Anyhow if you're not interested in him it shouldn't be too puzzling. We only care to unravel the thoughts of the ones we like...
I agree with Sierra...
Sometimes some men think this especially in regards to attractive women..I think they have a hard time wrapping their head around a attractive person actually wanting to be single until the right person comes along or just in general...
Perhaps not say it, but most of us would think it.
Yeah, that's the difference. As a simpler guy, he said it...
