If you and your significant other aren't physically with each other (e.g. you're both at work, one person is traveling, etc.), approximately how often do you communicate with each other during the day? Via email/text/phone...
During normal work days he calls me in the morning after the kids are off to school, most of the times around lunch and then on his way home I'll call him.
When he travels it depends on his location. Some foreign locations don't really allow for us to communicate much because of the time difference. China is nice, it's usually a 12 hour difference so we can talk twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. For domestic travel, usually once in the morning and once in the evening as well.
Typically it's always via phone unless he can't talk for whatever reason, and then it's text.
I call her at work a couple of times a day and she calls me during her lunch. As for me, I'm retired now. When she had training at a previous job, she had to travel three times and I went with her........I was unemployed at the time.

When I had a GF/SO? depends on where I was. If I was at my last job, I couldn't bring my cell phone to work so it would be at breaks and lunch. At my current job I can send texts whenever I feel like it, but usually when I have a random break in work or on a break or lunch.
I may call him on the way to work. If we get into a scuffle before work, and that happens from time to time, we'll spend my entire commute and then some on the phone. One of us will call during lunch and on the commute on the way home.
