How urban. I like stained concrete. I like it for counters too but couldn't convince my husband of that. Couldn't convince him of soapstone either so we put granite in *yawn*
I agree. I love the look of soapstone or stained concrete.
That was one of the features that drew me into this place.
You laugh but I have to clean in stealth mode. If he sees me spray windex on the front door I may as well not even clean it. Same with the cleaner for the stainless...LOVES to lick that too. I don't know, maybe because it all smells like citrus or something??
Oh trust me, you don't want me to be the dish! lol
Something that can lick it's own butt can't have much of a sense of taste. Good news is steam is harmless.
Its pretty common in the Northwest too once you start hitting the upper 100s or so on the price point. Our house had tile in the entry, kitchen, and baths, hardwoods in the formal dining, living, and den then the wool carpet stuff for the rest, cant think of the name of it. The hardwood was pecan. Unusual around here where it seems to be invariably oak. We had the dark slate colored grout with an off whitish tile with a slightly patterned surface which was very user friendly. Sweep, use the little sponge mop thingie, done, all bright and shiny. It maintained a brand new look right up to the divorce some ten years later. I liked that stuff.

We have the tile with grout in our bathroom. It is nice and easy to clean.
Geez, how did I miss that gem?! Oh, yeah, concrete is soooo comfortable in the winter! Even more than tile! Unless it's heated underneath...
As long as the space is heated or insulated properly no residual heating is necessary in this part of the country.
Our unit being, between two floors, the floors are comfortable to walk on barefoot, did that all last winter.
Quit keeping us in suspense! What happens on Tuesdays? Is that your drunken night? Or is the dolphin's passion throwing you on the floor?

Either or, could be both too. Believe it or not I hardly drink. I have issues where I like to be in control. And the dolphin needs batteries. Rotflmao!
