Well the fathers have to start using their heads too and stop running around the world having unprotected sex with whoever the heck they can get.
Yes. There is no excuse to have unprotected sex on both sides but lets face the truth here the woman holds more responsibility because she has more options open to her. If she has the right to choose an abortion and refuses it then the right and judgement is on her. The man doesn't get that choice except only to use or not use a condom that is a very limited choice. If and since she chooses to have unprotected sex and refuses an abortion then the judgement of have multiple pregnancies with multiple men is on her and her fault. She can say no, she can abort, she can use birth control, she can insist on using a condom with birth control, she can use the sponge, spermicide and there is planned parenthood, doctors she can go to for assistance in finding what works for her...and I don't care if they can fail it's no excuse because I know and I'm equally sure many posters here know it's worth the effort to use them unless you want to get pregnant. Only an idiot would believe they failed every time with so many sex partners....the fact that she didn't when she has all the options is her fault, period. The man gets the judgement of paying child support and when he doesn't we all end up paying not only for the children but the Mother too.

I have read some posts here and most of the responses and it appears there is a consensus that its ok for men to do certain things and not women, or a woman is percieved less than if she's a more sexually agressive being. A post from a few days ago involving a woman with children from several different fathers, got all types of disparaging remarks made about her, yet I seriously doubt sh got pregnant on her own and it appeared everyone gave the dads a pass. So why is this people?
Men & women are, of course, different, in all sorts of ways.
All human societies have chosen, throughout history, to handle men & women differently, based on their sex.
In the western world, its only recently that laws have been put into place to equalize certain things, like voting and hiring (although this is still impossible to legislate for 100%), but as with so many other social developments, societies have a very long way to go before men & women are equalized in society (in the ways that are desirous) and both sexes are responsible for all the numerous social, subtle & myriad of differences that persist today and which find their way into this forum.
There are double standards for each sex, they are just different.
Women are the keeper of children because we carry them so that will always be our problem.
Unemployed men are far more stigmatized then unemployed women.
Men can choose women solely on looks (shallow but ok) but if the woman reciprocates and chooses him for his money, she is a gold digging ***** (also shallow, but not ok).
More acceptable for women to be a SAHM then for a man to be a SAHD (this is changing).
Overweight women are fat pigs, while overweight men are big boned and somehow still think they're entitled to supermodels.
Child support owed by men is enforced far more then child support owed by women.
I'm sure there are many others but on this short list you can see that each sex has it's own double standards to contend with.
Man who cheats = the devil
Woman who cheats = "he" must done something to deserve it
Lesbian = more acceptable, partly because the thought of 2 women "doing it" turns men on
Gay man = still disgusting to many people
Woman joining the army = the norm
Man staying at home to raise the kids = lazy, should get a job
Single man = loser
Single woman = independent
Woman crying = gets sympathy
Man crying = must be gay or a wuss
I do agree that overweight women have a tougher time though. I also agree that society seems to tolerate a sexually active man more than a sexually active woman, who is often (and wrongly) deemed a ****. Otherwise, I tend to think that men have more in the way of double standards stacked against them, although it was probably the other way around many years ago.
Maybe we'll find an equilibrium at some point, otherwise the pendulum of unfairness will keep swinging to either side.
The only double standard is the one where women are encouraged to just be themselves but men are supposed to be a certain way and conform to society to attract the opposite sex.

Women are not really encouraged to just be themselves either. It would make getting ready in the morning so much easier. Men like feminine looking women. Well, "feminine" in our society isn't really the natural state. Shaving the pits and legs, doing hair and makeup (even if it's only a little), paying attention to dress, mani/pedis, etc.
^^^ I would think that they are from the same circles. The brainless ones.
