I've been thinking about spending a few thousand on an escort just out curiosity but most of them are in their 20s and would probably be disgusted by a much older man. Sure, it's their job, but it probably isn't pleasant.

Why would a guy feel the need to provide that information anyway? That's confidential information that doesn't need to be shared.
213 is an L.A. area code. Escorts are not regulated so you might as well have drunken bar hook up sex or find casual sex for free on an internet website if you're willing to risk that.
Prostitution is illegal here within city limits. as far as I know strippers and even escorts could provide those services for you if you're willing to risk it. The best way to get legal paid sex is to go up to one of the small rural towns where places like the Bunny Ranch are and talk with the owner or one of the girls there.
Personally, I have too much pride for that kind of thing myself but whatever you want to do.
Don't bother- escorts no matter how classy are still prostitutes and you can develop a very bad and costly habit. I had a friend named Bill...He started to use the "service" in the end he had to declare bankruptcy - There was this funny incident. Bill who was a bit of a comedian got himself an upscale girl. The kind that you rent for 24 hours. You go to parties and display her as you legit girlfriend...you go out on the town and then you take her home.
Dumb Bill was a bit of a drinker. The young woman was with him and she figured out she really did not want to have sex with slobbering Bill. She snuck out the back door and disappeared. Bill had used his credit card and his 2000 dollars walked out the door with providing the full service.
Bill calls me up the next day in a panic and wants me to help him find the number for the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU - I had to calm him down and explain...."Bill you can not put in a formal complaint that you have been ripped of....It's a prostitute ...prostitution is illegal"

If you lose your virginity to a prostitute, that will be your "first time" story for the rest of your life, that you will have to tell every woman you love and every friend you confide in. Unless you want to lie about it. Then you will have to make up another story and stick to it until the end of your days.
Is that really what you want? Is "getting it over with" honestly that compelling?

You are pretty much setting yourself up for a lifetime of lying to every woman you may date in the future, or telling them the truth about your past hooker activity and watching them walk away from you in disgust. IMO, you are setting yourself up with some really bad karma.
