As a guy I've had women who have tried to buy my affections so I can see the lure of having all expenses paid fun. But, I can't keep that up for long. It doesn't feel right not to contribute as well.

Don't understand why a woman wouldn't feel the same way.

Nope, I am man that likes to treat a woman good and romance her (see my profile pic) and also be romanced and treated good. Sounds odd and confusing for someone that is not used to doing things like that for a man so I don't blame you.

I like to be courted too and so far it has worked just fine with women also courting me. I was used to courtship just being one sided where the guy takes the girl out, sends flowers, drops by at her work with a surprise gift, wines and dines her, etc. But when I first moved to Japan and saw how I also can be courted I thought it was great and I ended up liking that more than what I was used to. When I visit the USA, I am fine with dating being about me asking a girl out and stuff but if I have to pick, I go for things revolving around both me and the girl.

People rail on about 'feminism' and 'equality' but don't realize that many women simply don't follow those tenants and want to be treated traditionally. Just as there are men out there who wouldn't want their wife to work because it's their responsibility to support their family.

That’s good. But when a woman wants a man to be traditional and take her out, spend on her, romance her, etc. you ask those women if they also like to be traditional at home and that’s when many of them see it as sexist, go figure.

However, if a man demanded outright that I pay, I'd be a little irritated just as I would imagine a man would get irritated if a woman demanded he pay.
