I think you're right. When I was in my early 20's, guys over 30 seemed like creepy old men to me if they hit on my friends or I. But I was never the money hungry type either. I preferred to buy my own things wih my own money. I do remember a lot of my friends in undergrad though would study at the med school or law school to meet future lawyers or doctors.....it totally worked too.

Oh, gosh! This tired old crap again!
I can say from experience that this is BS.

Those reasons are a projection from guys who can't or women who would for those reasons!

The younger women who like older guys have all said it is an attention thing....they're tired of the young guys playing video games and cheating on them...

It's all the older women who are concerned with the money.

A Large portion date men in the 30's. Some women start dating men in their 30's from their late teens. Guys in their late teens and early 20's have been spurned by their female peers of the same age group for men in their 30's since forever. A freshman in College just can't compete with an engineer financially, it's just the way it is. But on the flip side,it's just how older women get left for younger women, they just can compete with their Looks and Fertility potential

^^^^^Still clinging to the money issue? It's not true...they don't care as much about money as the older ones do...not by far!

I'm clinging to reality because it's the truth. Younger men get beat out by older men because of their economic situations.(it's certainly not looks)
You can't provide the same lifestyle as the Lawyer, your Drowned in student loans and work at Target Lol

And lol at Saying only "older women are concerned about money".ALL WOMEN Care about money. This place is like the twilight Zone sometimes.

And to clarify I don't mean ALL 20 year old women

Well, my experience is different then...at my lowest of being broke was when I dated the youngest of women!

FWIW, its not always the looks that pushes us older guys to the younger ladies....its the attitudes...or lack of, that the younger women have. They want to have fun ,aren't as jealous or insecure...and don't bust your balls about every little thing.
And they don't just want to sit and watch TV, they want to live and do things.

Whatever rationalizations and conventional wisdom you wish to believe, go right ahead. You may well be wrong.

Every individual relationship is unique. Sure, there are generalizations you can make (at your peril), and some may even be true a lot of the time. However, they don't apply to everyone. Not even close.

I know 20-something women who married 50-something men, and it wasn't for money, security, daddy-issues, or anything but compatibility and love. Others are dating men 15 to 30+ years older, and again for compatibility and love. Maybe most do have ignoble motivations, but you can't make a universal judgment about this - or almost anything - without being a fool.
