I don't think your height is a problem per se, as long as the women you pick are shorter than or comparable to your height. You seem extremely self-conscious about your height, I think that might translate to a lack of confidence and women pick up on that.

Though you are a surgeon, that should give you a considerable leg up in dating, so don't despair.

If you're targeting women 5'7 for opinion...yeah, most likely you'll be told heights a dealbreaker.

I agree with Dewdrops reply.

I agree with dew drop and to add why are you guys so concerned with a woman's 'prime?' I never heard anything like this or been told I was considered "old" at 32 -- until coming to this forum. It's as if we all burst into flames after age 22.

They don't want women to 'nitpick' over height or a guy's use of coupons but they're nitpicking to death the ages between this and that, like they're dealing with loaves of fresh or stale bread or something. It's ridiculous.

MO dcut: Part gender bashing; part off topic.

The reality though, is that fewer realistic women are AS picky, beginning at 40, and that's the way it is. That's why they have the term "hit the wall."

I'm glad I'm not the only one to see the irony in this!

I'm thinking since hes a surgeon, he should throw in the offer of free plastic surgery, a perk for negotiation any women would love. lol

Around 27 I'd say, when the wall isn't too far off in the distance.

I have no doubt the doctor will find someone. It might shrink his pool some, but there will still be women available to him. Most likely, they won't be tall nor very invested in what their kids will look like (unlike some who are "genetic engineers"). As for the women who told him his height was a deal-breaker, they presented evidence that they are NOT worth his time. If a FAT chick approached me, I would find ways to back off, without having to give the criteria that was the deal-breaker. I may be opinionated as hell, but I still can be reasonably pleasant...until people become obnoxious.

I didn't mean to offend anyone. And yes, I would marry a woman who was older if we were compatible. I just wanted to see whether my speculations that women in their late 20s and early 30s are picky as hell would be substantiated. I find it surprising that when I bring up this question (and I do believe it is valid as I want to avoid complications with pregnancy, etc) everybody gets hot about it. I even mentioned that I would rather have a relationship with someone in their later 20s than someone who is below 25, even though I have had more luck dating in college and the beginning of med school then after. It's funny how there are numerous posts and threads in city data that love bashing short men for no apparent reason other than they clash with our "preferences."
