You're not kidding. We went there last June on a lark. I've never seen so much synthetic fabric in my life. It looked like a bad SciFi convention accidentally broke out.
LOL
I once went to an online meet...you know how you get a visual in your mind of what people look like?
How disappointed I was...
Online meet = just look for the team of dwarf men and obese women in satin pink muumuu's
Probably only one cd Poster I would actually consider asking out. She's already on my friends list and we have had a few DM corespondances so who knows? Interesting online = Interesting in person?
More often than not, in my experience. Now, whether or not there is chemistry in person is something that can't always be determined online...but whether or not you find somebody's discourse interesting generally can.

I'd give it a shot I'm not shy and most people are pretty comfortable around me, or maybe thats just the alcohol speaking

I think that, if a person posts a lot and is fairly detailed, then their on-screen persona probably matches their real one. But that would only account for mental chemistry. Without seeing each other "live," it would be impossible to evaluate physical chemistry. Let's just keep it limited to CDF!
It would be a lot of mental effort to keep up a wholly fake online persona and do it consistently, if you post with any frequency, so most people are pretty similar online to off.
