From all I have read on Windows 8. It will be like Vista, ME and 95. So epic failure.
Nah Windows 8 is actually a pretty big upgrade over Windows 7 (which is solid) and is nothing like Vista or ME. Take Jeff Atwood for example (Co-Founder of Stack Overflow and Stack Exchange) he upgraded every PC in his house to Windows 8 this week and said it's a noticeable improvement in every way (Over Windows 7). He's a dude who's opinion I would value.

Well, good luck.
I didn't mind XP and Windows 7 was ducky.
Mac did it right when they went with intel chips and basic OS-X on Unix and Linux for the foundation...

Yeah at work we're still running XP. The powers that be aren't going to upgrade a few thousand PC's to Windows 8 that's for sure. Not when XP does what we need it to do and has tons of Service Packs and Security Updates.
At Home I imagine I'll be running Windows 7 for the foreseeable future, but I also run a OracleVM Virtual Box on top of Windows with an Unbutu installation and that's what I'm on most of the time anyway.
Disturbing how many "bingo" cards google images produces.
