Maybe for sex and hanging out, but not for a serious relationship. The OP will probably end up getting his feelings hurt if he gets into something serious with a 19 year old.

Different people have different maturity levels. Figure out what her maturity level is. It may very well be the maturity level of a 26 year old...or maybe you're looking for things most 19 year olds might want. Age differences only matter because similar age groups are more likely to share goals. That's not always the case, of course. If this is not one of those times, I would see no problems...at least with age differences when the younger person is 19. I once knew a forty year old man who was dating a twenty year old. He seemed like a good man. He had a son. I met him in a canoe. We were doing charity work, cleaning a stream. He was also a veteran. He continually claimed that he was robbing the cradle.

Umm...probably 70% of Americans. I don't think there's a need to get serious at 26 (if you're a guy), but apparently many do considering the average man gets married at 28 or so.

Definitely not looking for anything serious and definitely am not planning on getting married anytime soon as I stated in my second post.

The past couple of years I have found myself attracted to older women. I have a 41 y/o divorced co-worker that is gorgeous. If she was into hanging out with younger guys then I would definitely take her out but I would never insinuate it.

But anyway, this girl's maturity level would have to be somewhat on par with mine to even consider dating. Which my uncle seems to think so.

Oh stop thinking about this and go for it, I'm jealous, I'd love to be in this situation. Unless she's nasty looking.

My wife is 6 years youger than me. we now have 6 kids. Why wouldn't 7 years work? I know a couple that are 12 years apart. The girl is my age, the guy is younger. I don't think that age has anything to do with it.

Goals are what I would look at, oh and if she looks appealing to you, that always works. Still goals are very important. Lets say that you have a goal of saving money do you want to be with someone your age that likes to spend money? Sounds like you both have the same idea on saving money.

I wouldn't rush to any decisions untill you have dated a while. That is what dating is for. To find out what kind of person that you have. You want to get to know them, find out what makes them tick. See if this is the kind of person that you want to spend your life with.
