I wish. I needed some new work clothes so i texted her asking what she was doing she said nothing. I told her that i was headed to the mall, she asked why, i told her i needed new work clothes. Then i asked her to come along to help me pick out some clothes.

With the other girl we were talking about 3D movies & TVs. I was talking about getting a 3D TV, she mentioned that she never saw one, I said lets go to best buy and ill show you the TVs, she was cool

Those aren't dates...that's just socializing.

It's more like running errands. How romantic.

I consider them dates since we actually hung out, had fun, flirted etc...Besides how many women get excited about going out to eat? Like i told TVSG , switch it up. During your initial conversations with women you should be finding out her likes and dislikes then plan accordingly. Shes less likely to flake out if your doing something fun.

It was the context as well.

To me a date is a more formal invitation that is set in advance of the actual day, otherwise it's just hanging out and socializing.
If I text a guy and say "Hey I need to get some work clothes, come shopping with me" I don't consider it a date.

I will not call or text her tomorrow if I hear nothing tonight. I;m already in the process of making other plans.

Guys what do you think of this?
Cancel the date, I hear she was planning to wear sneakers.

Good point. But doing it my way made it less formal and it was much more relaxing. Then after you had fun enjoying each others company then you can go to the movies or dinner.

I agree. Especially trying on clothes, it's pretty intimate.
