Yes. The way you frame the question is skewing the results. A more fair question would be:
Guaranteed $80,000-$100,000, comfortable lifestyle with guaranteed true love for the rest of one's life vs
Guaranteed Millions
Answer would depend on many factors. Some people value money and hedonism over relationships and people. I can kind of see how someone who grew up in poverty might pick the millions, but then again, middle-upper middle class income is pretty good.
Not many on their death bad wished they had spent more time accumulating millions and billions. Many regret they didn't have more and/or better relationships though.
The results aren't skewed.
The intent behind the question was to figure out what women and men value most between love and money. It's a if you had to choose question.
The results are pretty obvious Most women put emphasis on love and most men put emphasis on money; which I kind of expected these results.
It just more evidence that show men are "thinkers" and women are "feelers."
I'm thinking most people would choose the 80-100K and love option. Me personally I still would go with millions.
I'd choose money every time. Don't even have to think about it. Condos, flash cars, no jobs... that's the perfect life. I'd be a damn fool not to choose money.
Now before you rush to the true love option I want you all to bare in mind what having all the money your heart desires means.
Think about it. Condos, super cars, never have to work again if you so choose, explore the world, or you can basically do nearly anything you desire.
Maybe you want to own several estates across the nation or overseas. Maybe take 5 star cruise ships or own a private jet.
Also you still have the chance that your true love relationship may still fail...
IMO, the bolded skews the results. You pretty much say the money will always be there, guaranteed, and then say the "true love" relationship may not be. So it's not just a choice between love and money, but between something potentially temporary and something guaranteed to be permanent.
