Why are people implying that choosing love in this poll means you'd be okay with being poor? That wasn't the question. The OP didn't say you'd have to be poor. Just that you wouldn't have "as much money as your heart desires", which for many is probably an infinite supply.
For me, true love + an "average" lifestyle when it comes to what money can buy is supreme. Having all my financial needs met, a few financial wants, and having my want for true love met as well? Are you kidding?
Lmao. Money and it's not even close. I don't need "love" Ill just live the bachelor life that I'm living now but with a much better place, cars, And overall resources.
Same for me; I didn't even have to think about it for a second before I chose money. I've never experienced love, so I don't know what I'm missing and it's not that big a deal to me. But I need money to live, and if I had enough so that I never had to work again and could go anywhere I wanted, any time I wanted, while pursuing any hobby that crossed my mind, yeah, it's an easy choice. And that's not even taking into consideration all the things I could do for other people. The possibilities to help others would be incredible.
I voted for the second option. While money definitely doesn't buy happiness nor finds you true love, it does satisfy your immediate needs such as food, water, clothing, security and well you need that too in order to settle down.
Come to think of it, when you're in college isn't the focus mainly on money (afterall you're paying for your classes and in doing that, you're planning your future and how to become stable.... then you can finally find your true love)?.
Thats if your career isn't in demand. In order to reach the highest plateau you have to put your career over your social life.
This has to be one of the most depressing thread I have since on C-D since joining.
Why is that depressing? Some of us are more practical, we don't live in a Disney fantasy world. Love doesn't pay the bills, or the rent, or by food, or pay for college, or medical bills, or help you start a business. You cant feed and cloth your kids with love, that' not a payment option at the store.
I have no money and I can't afford to put food in my fridge, keep the lights on, keep the water going or keep the gas going. It's ok because we have love and love conquers all!

D^&$ straight!
If "love to give" was a form of US currency, I'd own most of Washington DC.
