So you'll introduce me to the love of my life and then we just have to make it work, or I get oodles of cash but I'll never have a meaningful relationship?

Love. I'd find more joy living a modest lifestyle with the love of my life than travelling the world alone.

I don't know about that. My dad declared bankruptcy twice. My parents are about to hit 40 years....

Love beats money in my book. You can always find a way to make more money together. If I had more money, I'd still be working. I'd just be working for myself on one of my vanity projects.

You know, I know any number of wealthy people with mediocre marriages. Money is a good thing, but it sure as hell doesn't solve all your problems.

Who needs marriage when you have millions in the bank???

Yay, I'm with you Ann, as long as it is enough money!

There are 6 Billion people on this planet theres a pretty good chance that a million or two would be very compatible with you. Find a great person that treats you well and if it stops working leave and find another. Somehow we are fed the Bull that we should stay with someone who treats us like sheet because of "Time Invested"...Bull. Give them a few chances then run!

True love is something that is fed into a young girls minds from the time they are very little. In the real Snow White story the girl would more likely end up in a relationship with the Wicked which than Prince charming.

You know Baldrick your a cool dude but surely you know that most people aren't fortunate enough to die in a hospital bed or at home with family beside them anyway. Having a loving wife and family will not guarantee that you die a dignified death.

I chose money. Being successful in the career world takes hard work but at least it's simple. You know what you have to do to get where you want to go. Work hard and put in the extra time and be productive. But dating and love is just chaotic. And I tend to like order and structure in my life. Besides I've got my family so I'm good.

This is very interesting. It really is a big misconception that women care about money.

This thread sort of proves it.

Women really care about an emotional, mental connection first versus a financial one.
