No. It's the men who tend to fall in love first, and want to clinch the deal. Women are known for being more cautious and taking a long time to really scope the guy out to make sure he passes muster. If you think about it, this makes sense, in view of the fact that women are more vulnerable. They need to do their best to make sure they're with a guy who will be safe, responsible, and reliable. This is why some go for long engagements.
Only guys who have problems with chicks are like that.
You'll be hard pressed to find a guy who does great with women who's in a hurry to fall in love and get married.
IMObservation, commitment-phobic men are in the minority, though their numbers seem to be growing. The only woman I know IRL who has run into commitment-phobic men admitted that she tends to unconsciously choose that type. One reason the average age of first marriage is rising is that women now have more education and career options than before, so as a general trend, they're postponing marriage. Back in the old days, marriage was the main "career" option for women.
I thought men just wanted to screw around (“men’s ultimate goal in life”) and where commitment phobic instead of settling down with just one woman.
LOL! Don't believe everything you read on C-D! And look at how many men on C-D objected to that characterization. Do you seriously mean to tell us you take a (highly contested) CDR OP as the authoritative word on the matter? Kinda scraping the bottom of the barrel to find support for your views, aren't you?

Women in these threads can be seen saying one thing in one and then a different thing in another thread. That is why I brought it up. It can go from “Men just want sex, have no feelings” to “Men are the ones who want to commit to one girl and have a family” .

I don't think they're in a hurry. It happens naturally and unexpectedly. Guys get especially motivated if a woman is sweet and a firecracker in bed. They don't want to let a good thing get away. If a woman owns her own home, that can be a motivator, too. Men can be just as mercenary as some of you guys say women are.

Come on, women, generally speaking, play and dream about all this and since they are little kids while boys are playing cops and robbers or something.

Wait - you just said on the other thread that most men only want to get laid and that you are the exception. Why are you saying something different on this thread?

This claim that CD women post that "men just want sex" has come up a couple of times the last couple of days. That has not been the general trend among C-D women. That has come from just one or two posters. Actually, it's been C-D men who overwhelmingly and consistently have posted that sex is what they're after (not all C-D guys, but a very vocal bunch).

?
Uuuuh nope. I am saying that if most men want to get laid then it makes sense why they don't want to get married and are commitment phobic.

Dewdrop is our eagle-eye for the inconsistencies! You should have been a lawyer, Dew. LOL!
How many times are you going to post a link to the same article, onihC? Is the third time the charm?
