Yes, I'm a Washington DC professional banking employee and would love to get some camouflage gear and a rifle and go hunting one day for some fresh deer and whatever else is legal to shoot to kill. Sue me.

Do it. In Texas, you have to take a hunter safety/education course. But yeah, look into it. Lots of public land up there. Texas is 98% privately owned (which works out well if you have some land or know some folks that have some).

It's also some chick's God given right to turn you down. I doubt you'd scare chicks off if you stuck to fishing. I'm sure you could learn some marinated filet recipes and win their hearts in the process.
I wouldn't have any problem w/a hunter. I have no problem w/hunting, especially if meat is actually used. I do have a problem w/caged "hunts" (I'm sure you do too). I really don't even consider that hunting. Also hate the kind of hunting where it's just for the skin or tusks or whatever and the rest of the animal is just wasted. If this "dealbreaker" chic ever eats meat, tell her to shut up and count your blessings. Does she know how that meat gets to the store. If she doesn't eat meat.....well, I know I would have a bit of a problem w/that. Good luck.
I can guarantee your and my ancestors did! A wooly mammoth would have kept the tribe fed for weeks
I'm not talking about having to do it for survival. Our instinct to live is strong and we do what we must. Taking a life would buckle a person of conscience and morals, and when doing so you thank your god, the animal, whatever your trip is for the sacrifice of that life. You do it with humility, not with filthy gluttony and greed, which is sport hunting. People who get their rocks off via killing are sociopathic nut jobs as far as I'm concerned.

Wouldn't want to be with a princess who thought she was too good to slaughter what she consumes or had problems with folks that did. Are people really that disconnected with where their food comes from?
You can hunt all you want but you are not bringing that mess into my kitchen and actually believe that it will be cooked there by you and especially not me. That will not happen with anything seafood/fish related either.
I value and respect all life. Although, I think there would be greater justice for hunters to hunt other hunters if they're doing so for a thrill.
