-Her: "Hi, I'm good thanks for asking. How are you?"
-Me: "Good thanks, can I have the bacon burrito?"
-Her: "Sure."
-Me: "Actually, how big is it, I'm really hungry. Should I get 2?"
-Her: "Haha yeah its pretty small, so if youre hungry would you like two?! So how is your day going so far?" lol what, who asks this
-Me: "Pretty good, starting my new job today"
-Her: "Congrats! Do you like it?"
-Me: "Yeah etc"
-Her: (completes order) "Well Im glad to hear its going well, have a wonderful day!"
She was cute. There was no tip jar, haha.
Should I go back there tomorrow and get the digits?
Oh, good grief! This is what women complain about; just being polite, making polite chit-chat with the customer as required by management, probably, and the guy reads everything he wants into it. Total projecting, in most cases.
HOWEVER, it can't hurt to go back. It can't possibly hurt. I wouldn't ask for a number just yet, though. Try some more chat, see what happens. This time, observe: does she make a lot of eye contact and smile a lot? If not much direct eye contact, she's just doing her job. If she wants you to ask her out, she'll make clear signals that you won't have to post on the internet for help interpreting. Just FYI: I've had male cashiers say things like "Nice to see you again", and it doesn't mean they want to go out with me, ok? Just a reality check.
Wow, lot of negativity here. Guess I won't ask her out.
