I don't understand this statement, to be honest. It sounds like score keeping and tit for tatting, which in my opinion are absolute death sentences for relationships.

what we give ourselves is the only thing we ever get. getting from others under the pretext of love is rip off.

Hmm... I'd say false. Sometimes things just don't work out even steven. I do think that both people should be happy in a relationship - but sometimes someone has to make a sacrifice for the other (location, job, etc.).

No, not everything. A partner CAN'T be "everything" to their significant other nor can they "give everything" to their significant other - even if their significant other "gives everything" to them; and this is assuming I'm understanding your question, which, to be honest, I'm not sure that I do.

False. I can't IMAGINE getting EVERYTHING I want to begin..... and honestly, that doesn't even seem like something that I would enjoy in the long run. There are so many times that my DH gets what he wants over what I want, and I absolutely ended up loving whatever it was (movie, restaurant, sex. lol.)

I'm not even sure how that statement would be possible to execute.
