If women want guys to choose and commit to them over other things (games, hookup culture, and porn), then women need to improve themselves and be worthy of investment. I had a nice long post to explain this in better detail, but I think this blog post sums up my sentiment pretty well:
Combine the above with men getting wise that the game is rigged against them by watching their fathers, older brothers, uncles, friends, and coworkers taken to the cleaners in divorce, plus easy sex thank's to women's lib, and guys are turning off the marriage and commitment faucet in droves. Just look at how quickly things like the manosphere and seduction community have grown. These aren't guys who just one day decided they were going to become a part of it. Nope, these are guys who were DRIVEN to them by things that have happened to them by the women in their lives.
In the end these guys will just not breed themselves out of the gene pool. There are worse things.

This is tantamount to saying that women who choose to pursue career over having a child or raising multiple children will not breed themselves out of the gene pool. I dont consider the lack of desire or reduced ability to reproduce among one demographic due to a chosen preferred behavior (career, videogames, porn etc.) to be a genetic variable. This is not accounting for the likelihood that in a couple more generations, love/relationships/romance etc probably wont even be necessary if one just wants to reproduce at all.

My definition of hipster deviates from that of CD. To me it was always a matter of non-mainstream, commercial, etc.
True, that was the old definition, from the counter-culture days. Back then it was all about standing against the establishment, against the Vietnam war, against corporate patriarchy. Nowadays what most people consider hipsters are those who deliberately cherry pick from as many obscure cultural sources as possible to construct their image. The major difference is that old school hippies really believed in what they were standing for. Modern day hipsters are only anti "mainstream" because they are themselves trying to fit more snugly into their subculture. Everything from the organic, locally grown diet to the carefully disheveled appearance is calculated.

No big deal...it just is..I originally brought it up because some had implied that if these young whippersnappers these days dont let go of their porn and demon spawn video-games, they'll not breed, or be unable to raise families. But you're right, since it doesnt have anything to do with this thread, I guess thats a subject for a different time.

I guess the Georges and the Elaines arent hooking up...If I remember correctly, she remained single for most of the show too...each of them lamenting about their various failed attempts at finding romance...so sad..smh...but you're right it doesnt matter in the grand scheme of things...so by all means, if you and the rest of the gang want to cry a river, you can certainly have at it, for all I care...hell, weep your eyes out if you want...but life goes on for the rest of us...

Pabst is pretty main stream, tho. I think it would be difficult to tell and the perceptions coming from main stream people about what is not mainstream is not reliable either.

I was only referring to his comments about women not being good enough for his kind of blogster. As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, gamers tend to hook up with gamers, so it's not gaming per se.
