Threesomes are a horrible idea for a committed relationship and marriage.
Do threesomes when you're single or in short term relationships.
Again that is up to the people involved and what they want. Many people in long term relationships are perfectly ok with it. Sweeping empty generalisations such as those you have been putting on to the thread do not magically make good advice.
For some of us - such as myself - the threesome IS our committed relationship.
Also many people have no interest in marriage. Religious or civil.

I think guys just tend to flatter themselves with thoughts like "I know what those gals really want!" and imagine that they could convert them given the opportunity.
Threesome are fun but not with someone you are committed to
My bowling buddy and his wife have a committed relationship and endulge in threesomes and they have been togother for almost 20 years. They are completely open about it and discuss it at nauseam. In the back of my head I would be worried about being left for the woman. I think you would have to completely lose jealousy before you could think about doing it.
