The PROBLEM, arises when men are told they aren't "real" men, because they don't like overweight women.
Or that skinny women aren't "real" women.
Maybe if fat women would stop justifying their fatness in these ways, the rest of us wouldn't be on the defensive.
Overweight women wouldn't have to justify anything if people would stop being so judgmental and ignorant.
What about overweight men? These threads always seem to be about overweight women. You never see any thin women on C-D starting threads complaining that society looks down on them for rejecting overweight men.

I don't see either of these very often. There was a thread about skinny women not being "real". The general consensus was that people who are saying things like that were mentioning models and the like. They're real but it's not fair to compare someone whose job is to look good to someone who only has time to work out one hour a day.

That's because rejecting a man for his looks its very acceptable.
Why should anyone be striving to live up to someone else's standards?
If a woman is of a certain weight and is happy about it... good for her!
Does this mean that not every man on the planet may want to be with her? Yes... just like any of a million other physical, mental, or social traits she may have.
If she is happy, she will be contented with searching out a partner who loves and accepts her for who she is.
Who would want to be with a partner that wasn't accepting of them anyway? Any relationship where you think you can or need to "fix" your partner is ever going to work.
So if you dislike certain traits or body types, good for you for knowing yourself! Just try not to fix the people who do not fit your definition of attractiveness, or tell someone else they are wrong for doing, being, or liking whatever their preferences are.

Because there are hardly anyone who judges you for rejecting overweight men.
There are some people who get really mad if you say you won't date overweight women. They are a minority, but a very vocal minority. Hence people make threads complaining about it.
Similarly with women preferring tall men. There is a vocal minority of men complaining about women preferring tall men.

No one should be happy about their weight/size if it is unhealthy.
If someone is dealthy skinny, people try to help them. But if someone is fat, no one cares. Its normal. This goes for men and women.
