Why do people seem so resentful towards single moms and dads sometimes? Don't you know that it could happen to anyone? You may very well have married for all the right reasons and then things happen to some people which they did not create, they didn't see it coming- it was what is commonly referred to as an unforeseen circumstance- and then boom! They're single parents! Welcome to 'Stigmaville'.
Does the majority believe that all single parents are to be avoided because of something WRONG with them?
I have the impression that if you are a single parent people think its the noble thing to do to raise them on your own and leave the dating to the younger/better unfettered people.
pifff.

I'm not resentful towards single dads (why would I be?)I just don't date them. It's a free world and I can date who I want. There might be something wrong with the single parents but childless people like me avoid them because we don't want the drama or the money issues or the other issues.

Yes, and you have every right in the world to make your decisions that are right and good for you, and I applaud your ability to know yourself and your boundaries.
