Exactly, and I see this all the time in my daily life. The stable, high earning, highly successful but unattractive man in the office rarely if ever dates (and it's usually some drug addicted, hideously repulsive and obese hag) and is usually considered creepy by most of the women around the office. On the other hand, these same career women have FWB arrangements with men who work dead-end jobs and are often high school dropouts but are extremely good looking.

I really never, ever see this phenomenon of women in their 30s getting desperate and stalking unattractive men in the office. Sounds like delusions of grandeur to me. Most women would rather drown in sulfuric acid than pursue an unattractive man no matter how successful or established he is.

I assume your talking about the link/post I did in the other thread where I said I was stirring the pot and running away...

I assumed people would be intelligent enough to get the humor in it.
I'm sorry for that.

I saw that it was a troll thread with a new identity of someone banned... And was amused by people taking it seriously.

ANYWAY.... Like I said....

CASE 2: men who get more partners have a higher value. women typically need others to make up their minds for them. when one woman likes a man, more women like that man. it's why guys in relationships get hit on more. it's called pre-approval.

women, on the other hand, depreciate when having many partners. it's like a car with high mileage. no one wants one.
You're never going to be truly happy if you measure relationships in purely subjective, aesthetic terms.

[it'll never add up the way you want it]

I am wondering what assets are. As I've aged, I am worth more if you look at the assets I have in the bank, my IRA, and equity in my house. And attracting a man isn't that hard. Sure I don't attract 20-year-olds (other than the occasional cougar cub), but I am also not interested in 20-year-olds. Give me an older man with experience.

However, I will say that some men peak in physical attractiveness at around late 20s/early 30s, while almost all women peak around age 17 and then their desirability falls off with every year after that, especially towards the later 20s/early 30s.
Actually many women peak in their late 20s to early 30s.

I think everyone's overall "worth" as a person increases some with age. Man or woman. There is no replacement for receiving "on-the-job" training in life which increases a person's overall wisdom. Wisdom about themselves. About others. About life in general.

Equating overall worth as the OP has to one or two specific "things" seems rather narrow minded to begin with. A man's worth to a woman seems to be far more than his career or earnings just as a woman's worth to a man is usually far deeper than just her abstract physical appearance.
