Nope. Married women flirt with me a lot, and it sucks.
Hey, at least you recognize what they're doing, Prince.
Honestly it's the people who keep that level of flirtation going, or push the boundaries that suck.
For instance people right here on CD who are married, but behind the scenes DM certain people....
carrying on "harmless" flirtations.
I find it sleazy....

What are these "harmless" DMs about?
If it's just chit-chat and an occasional wink/nod kind of thing, it's hardly sleazy.
If it's them talking about what they plan to do to each other in a sexual sense?
yeah... that's unseemly and inappropriate.
Unless they're in open relationships.

What do you consider flirting? I'm thinking a situation like:
Married Receptionist: Jim! I'd thought you'd forgotten about us!
Married Delivery Guy: Oh, I could never forget about you, Pam. Sign here.
MR: Thanks, see you next week.
MDG: I'm looking forward to it!
Is that really such a betrayal of marriage vows? It's banter. Nobody's sneaking off to a hotel.
Flirting carries a side meaning of the flirt intended to be caught by the flirted. Non-serious flirting always carries the danger of being taken seriously.
Flirting is like pulling out a gun loaded with blanks, but you're the only one in the room who knows that for sure.
I'd think it depends on the couple. In my world, I feel if you're exclusive with someone, then flirting with other people is disrespectful. Especially if done in front of you. But that's me.
HOWEVER, I will say this. I'm always told I'm flirting with men, by women. When in fact I'm just joking around with them (not sexual in anyway). Most men I have been with can tell the difference and know I'm not flirting. But man oh man, the men's SO's don't like it at all. I guess, if I can joke with a man, it's flirting.
Oh yeah. I do flirt if I'm in a relationship. However, I only flirt with my guy. No one else. It is fun. I just don't need to do it with other men.
I read a post today referring to flirting and how married men shouldn't be engaging in it.
What is the general consensus on this?
I've always been under the impression that flirting isn't harmful to anyone? I don't attach a "seriousness" to flirting. I've flirted with my friends mothers, hundreds of women that are old enough to be my grandmother! There are some women out there who just look like they don't get a whole lot of flirting, maybe I'm just selfish, but I like flirting with them the most. HAHAHA I have occasionally been caught off guard and surprised by some of the responses. We walk away with a smile.

So, if you're "always told" you're flirting, it's all of these women who have a problem and you're not doing anything wrong?

I have a friend like that. He has a wife. Yet, often times he runs around trying to get with a lot of other women. When he sees me talking to a woman, he goes, "hey, that's my girl."
----- please!!!
The woman obviously wants to be with me as well.
