My father's cousin was married for a very long time, they split and divorced. And, about 3-5 years later, were remarried and very happy. They had children in the 1st marriage, most were already grown and out of the house. To each their own.

I would tread this kind of situation with caution. If both parties have truly reflected and made the necessary changes then I guess anything is possible, but I would think that the odds of success may be less than other relationships.

One thing that I would wonder.......when you get into an argument.....how long before someone brings up the past?

Maybe. If you broke up as friends, or realized it was a timing issue or something.

Me, never. I would not have the capacity to make up with a man who left me for another woman. Or maybe I just have too high of self esteem.
