I ask because almost everyone I know cheats, married, single, doesn't matter. They all joke about it, braig about it like it is no big deal. I'm talking both men and women.
Funny thing is when **** comes around back to them, they get all bent out of shape, won't talk to that person for a while and then, given time, all is forgiven and the cycle repeats itself. It seems they just do whatever makes them feel good without regard to others.
Is this your experience? Am I old fashioned here? It just seems like respect for your partner is just a long faded notion.
Nope not my experience. None of my friends, family or co-workers has cheated that I am aware of. If they did they would keep it hush hush and I really don't believe it is in their character to cheat.
I agree! That sounds like huge unbeleivable drama, like everyone is living in tv land! I can't beleive that everyone you know is really like that, how horrible to live life that way.
As others mentioned, I have only known maybe 1 person who has cheated on their spouse- maybe one or two others who cheated on girlfriends when not married or engaged. So this is not all that common- you just happen to have a bad circle of friends/acquaintances, apparently! And yes, it is a VERY bad thing- it's probably the worst thing you can do to someone you are committed to. In my mind someone who cheats is the most horrible, despicable type of person- someone who is complete trash in my eyes. (and I'm a guy, if that matters in this discussion)
There's much more cheating going around than any of us are comfortable talking about. Let's not kid ourselves here folks. The best you can do is try to control the only thing you can.

Maybe you need some new friends, too.
