Sex lists aren’t just for LiLo — New Yorkers are keeping them too | New York Post

And it looks like we have more proof that men increase their number and women decrease.

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. The article specifically references a woman that felt the need to "keep up" with her friends who slept with more men than her. And it doesn't touch on men "increasing their number" at all.

I don't need lame articles to tell me what the real world is like. Especially when my experience shows that most of these articles are complete BS and just trying to get the attention of people who want to get hysterical over nothing.

that means men are just as promiscuous as women.

why do you buy into that nonsense that broads are innocent, delicate little flowers?

No, it means that a smaller percentage of men are having casual sex while a larger percentage of women are doing the same. And no one said women are delicate flowers. We know they have more casual sex on average and lie about their numbers.

The underlined is a good example of why it's important to know the difference between "mean" and "median".

Quiz: If you have 10 straight women, and 10 straight men, and all of the women have sex once, does that mean all the men have sex once?

Spoiler
No, it doesn't.

Average comes out to the same no matter what, but median is different and I'm willing to bet the median is at least double the median for guys.

That quiz wasn't for you

I'll have to dig to find the study, but you're right, the median for women was almost exactly double what it was for guys.

The average for women was "generally" the same across the board, but spiked SIGNIFICANTLY for a small group of men. Meaning, there was a particular subset of guys that bent the curve. As Chris Rock put it, "10% of the guys are doing 90% of the f***ing".

I think it's emotionally healthy for partners in long-term relationships to share this information. If one partner thinks any harm can come of this, then they have chosen the wrong partner. Either that, or they are the wrong partner.

lies, lies, lies. someone could tell you anything partner or whatever doesn't matter. They can tell you 10 when it's really been like 70. Whatever. Too many people are liars about stuff like this.
