When I meet someone, male or female, who uses profanity, my reaction is to exit the area as soon as possible and I make a mental note to try to NEVER be in their presence again. This language may be acceptable to some people, but not to me.
I hate to say this but I do feel that people who are religious are more sensitive about swearing. Some of the words categorized as swear words actually take the lords name in vain so are not thought well of.
Frankly I try to tailor my speech, I have friends and neighbors I know are christian and I try to NOT speak offensively when around them. I assume they would do the same for me if the tables were turned.
However I do not have the same sensibilities about swearing AND I think women should be able to speak the same way men do.

I dont feel decent language has anything to do with religion.
I curse around my friends. Mostly when I'm talking to them about situations that need special emphasis.
That's pretty much it. I don't do it at work (anymore), because I don't hate being there, and when I did curse at work, it was just with my coworkers who were also stuffed in the back room in horrible conditions - not the boss or anything. I don't do it around my family, except maybe my bro sometimes.
When I meet new people, I don't come at them with a profanity laced tirade. If we become friends and it's not a problem, then a few swears might slip.
If people don't want to be around me because I slip a few "naughty" words, then I don't want them around me anyway.
I dont think anyone here is talking about "slipping a few naughty words" super, its near impossible not to when watching the nightly news.
oh you have no idea. i've been known to scream at the news thanks to the fact that because of the idiots elected in the state of Illinois, i might have a much worse commute come mid January.
