I recognize that behavioral pattern but I didn't know they had a term for it. I think I'm a better person now because I learned something new today!
Part of the PUA messaging is that anyone below a “7†is not worth pursuing, like assigning a ranking system to a woman’s attractiveness is a good idea in the first place. That should be red flag #1 about these *******s. -
The other thing is, who the hell defines what a '7' is, anyway? What one guy finds hot, I might find 'meh' and what one guy finds 'meh' might be my dream girl. Each man has a different type he likes, just as every woman does.

Which is why, when I see men lamenting about how only the top 10-20% of guys (in terms of attractiveness) get ALL the women, I think to myself:
Top 10-20% according to...?

How can I disregard these "stupid" terms when I don't know what they mean?
Seems like a lot of internet conversations are in code.
I understand the use of shorthand when conversing with a known group, but it makes it hard to understand as an outsider.
Just for further confusion I saw "mgtow/trip", wtf?
Why bother to label yourself any of those things in the first place? Why care? You are a sentient and complex human being, with a unique personality, beliefs, values...and maybe varied interests. And all of those things can change over time. That should transcend any "label". Labels are handicaps.
Most people in real life don't talk about PUA or MGTOW...if they do (assuming they've heard of them), it's usually to take a few minutes to joke about and mock those things...and then it's promptly on to the next subject. It's silly to take such things seriously, so don't waste time dwelling on them.
This article, as well as the people who write this website, are anti-male.
Why? You don't think they are mistakes?
