IDK I've worked with a lot of law enforcement guys, and the majority are jovial and fun-loving, with a great sense of humor. Until it's time to be serious. LOL

Anyway, it should NOT be this hard. You are adults. Your "spidey senses" are tingling right now, and not in a good way. Do you really want to spend the relationship pulling teeth??

You broke the ice. Now you know. NEXT!

I don't want to drag you down, but my experience with "shy guys" is that they eventually find someone they want to make the effort for, and it's never been me, so I don't play around with "shy guys" anymore.

Totally agree. There is something he's hiding about himself, I can sense it. I might never know what it is. But it doesn't feel "clean" to me.

I wouldn't be able to deal with this guy. A little shyness is one thing, like taking a week to muster up the courage to say something. But several MONTHS is ridiculous, especially when you've already broken the ice by saying, "Hi, how are you" a few times. I would have lost interest after a week or two.

There's definitely something wrong with him. Time to move on. Next!

I think you should just start humming the Smiths when you see him next

The Smiths - Ask, 1986 - YouTube

Shyness is nice and
Shyness can stop you
From doing all the things in life
You'd like to
...

Ask me, ask me, ask me
Ask me, ask me, ask me

So, if there's something you'd like to try
If there's something you'd like to try
Ask me I wont say no, how could I?

I've got my fill of the Smiths lately... Mrs. Chow loves the Sirius channel "First Wave" and they play the smiths about every 8th song or so.... LOL...

I like all kinds of music, but after a while one needs to release the shackles of the New Wave...
