Yes, let's. What you don't know about rape and sexual assault is a LOT. You equate it with "men's sexual desire." Rape has NOTHING to do with sexual desire. It's not about getting off because you're horny.
It's about power and violence. It's about dehumanization.
As such, all of your talk about how men are supposedly being shamed for their sexuality flies right out the window.
I think he's not so much defending rape as much as he's annoyed by NilaJone's version of all of this. I find it quite annoying myself.

As for your comment about "valid statistics," where are yours? Because you say something is not valid, it's not? Please.
Except that men, as a gender, ARE being shamed for the actions of a few.
I posted an article that links much valid stats. Check it.

Men commit the vast majority of rapes. Even when men are the victims, men are the perpetrators 9 times out of 10, via the link I posted.

Well, what I find annoying is commentary to the effect of "rapes could be avoided if women stopped putting themselves in stupid situations." That is blaming the victim, and it is offensive and unacceptable.
Maybe you need to reread the original post? Nila was being supportive of men, not shaming
Thank you. She is acknowledging that there are men who prevent rape and asking for examples. If that is not supportive of men--assuming the best of men--I don't know what is.

Well, I said that men who rape women are the scum of the earth and should rot in prison.
I'm not taking blame away from the person who commits the crime, but I think a lot of women need to be smarter when going out.
