I won't link thread but did a simple search "should i give him a chance"

Examples below (thread titles from CD):

Case #1: Do you think I should give this guy a chance or no ?

Case #2: What makes you give a man a chance for a date?
This thread spawned 12 pages

Case #3: Time to move on? Or give him a chance?

Case #4: He's lying on Facebook...should I still give him a chance?

Case #5: Should I have given him a chance?

I tried to search "give her a chance" or "give woman a chance" in relation to dating, but couldn't find anything.

Chance, in this case, is a synonym for opportunity.

A better thread is Why does Techrium spend all his time questioning "Why do women..." and referencing other threads in this forum? The veiled attempts at gender-bashing are more than tiresome.

Dudes talk this way, too, but the tone is different. "HER? Not a chance! She's fugly!"

The same reason men give women chances because they want to, because they think things in the future will change, because they are "oh so in love", because they think no one else will have them, because they think.........

Pick something and that is the reason why.

Right. I spend all day asking questions while you have over 4000 posts and 2 million viewed threads. The irony.

I am gender bashing for asking a question and backing it up with examples while other threads like "why do guys act cold" is fine?

Irony.

So you are saying that women give or grant guys opportunities?

Perhaps because men don't use the same terminology, phrasing, wording, etc. for what is, practically speaking, synonymous.

Examples: "Should I wait a few more days to call her?" "How many times should I pay before she pays?" "If I see her standing at the bus stop and by the time I get there shes on the bus should I get there earlier before she gets on the bus tomorrow?"

Your examples represent a clear difference in context.

Giving x a chance is synonymous with reverting a no.

Your examples represent a yes that might become a no.

E.g. u failed the quiz, but I'm giving you a,chance to redo it.

Your examples: How many times can I attempt the quiz?

Notice the difference?
