For some of us, meeting a potential romantic partner at work, is not a tenable option. We have three options: online dating, introductions via a friend ("blind date"), or approaching a complete stranger.

Guilty as charged. I incessantly hanker for set-ups by my acquaintances and friends. Almost invariably the response is for them to politely decline.
In sum, I wholeheartedly wish that I had the OP's problems....
