Just be glad you're not expected to discuss the "Housewives of... Wherever"
Not having cable is my go-to excuse. Although it does kind of suck when I'll be watching a series that has finally made it's way to Netflix; I'll mention it and get the "Um, that was on like 5 years ago..." look.

I wonder what is wrong with me, as a man... I see my FB feed and all of the guys I know are always on there talking about football and **** and I just couldn't give a rip less.... I have never cared for sports talk...
It just bores me to the damn rafters, yet every guy I know just prattles on and ****ing on about it.....
My partner at work is on facebook right now. I just heard him go "Wow! It's about time!". I said "What? What's up?!" He says....."The Supreme Court of Canada ruled that doctor assisted suicide being illegal is unconstitutional. It's legal now!"
I said "Yeah. They made that decision in February"

...facebook news. lol
Mrs. Chow is more the social causes advocate between the two of us, but that one right there is a big one for me.
I know that they have it a few states here. There was a case fairly recently where a So Cal woman ended up going up north to Oregon to pursue her wishes.
We've had a lot of deaths in the family the last few yrs and it has sort of really driven home being able to control your own destiny like that.

Good thing for you guys.
I'm actually very surprised California doesn't have such laws in place. However, it may be coming to you soon, as the law in Cali is currently under review.
Hey, I completely understand that, man. Every death in my family, or even friends, and their families, could have died at their will, instead of withering away into nothing.
Thanks, I agree. I'm sure SCOTUS will have to say something similar. If our constitution says it's not right, I have a hard time believing yours doesn't. I have hope.
Is this an early Metallica album reference or the whole assisted suicide converstation
