Here's the scenario: It's Friday or Saturday, 8 p.m. You agreed to meet for dinner and send a text saying you just got there and can meet them in front. 5 minutes go by and you get a text back from them saying they forgot and can't meet tonight...but they want to reschedule.

Do you do it? Why or why not?

Nope! Regardless if they were stunningly beautiful or not.

If it was an emergency ( eg family member im hospital ) then yes without a doubt, but to say they just plain and simply forgot........ It's too insensitive for me so I wouldn't.

Is this early on in the relationship?

If they forgot our FIRST DATE, then hell to the no.

First impressions leave a long lasting impression on me..... they would need to do more than a text that they want reschedule to win a second chance

No I wouldn't but I would not have texted them I was at the meeting place either. I would give them 10 minutes then leave and deal with them when/if they contacted me to meet again.

No.

I would have confirmed both the day before and on the same day. If you cancel and say you forgot then I don't want to know you.

Agreed! don't make someone a priority if they clearly show you're not their priority!
