As of 10.13 you had JUST put your foot down about expensive dates and in fact, on that day she was trying to get free gas out of you but it's been 18 days?
I'm not amazing at math, but 21 minus 13 does not equal 18.

That's what I was wondering. Although she may not be paying rent now that she's squatting at OP's place and providing all manner of domestic services.
Yeah, I've been skeptical of this thread for a while. Though if it were real, I could totally believe that she was over at his place all the time because she got evicted from her old apartment.
And even if everything is 100% as described, it's pretty silly. We're not talking about two gainfully employed adults, one of whom just refuses to pay for anything. It's someone who's fairly well off needling a woman who's completely broke about $5 at Taco Bell and $10 for gas. Why even bother asking her to chip in? It's not like you can make money appear in her bank account through the power of persuasion.

I think about 90 percent of the threads here aren't rooted in totally reality. Maybe shades of truths, but IDK, Most people in real life that I've dealt with aren't like what I read here.
We never split the bill. Either he pays or I pay. I pay just as often as he does. Usually I cook though.
And I sometimes say "lets go eat" but neither of us assumes that I will pay. It is unclear until the bill gets presented and then one of us says "I'll pay."
We have fights about a lot of things but money isn't one of them.
Oh okay, thanks for clarifying. At the end of the day, people do what works.
It's simple. I recently dealt with this. After a few weeks of her never offering we had plans to go out. That night I literally just told her, "this one's on you" and left it at that. Hasn't been an issue since.
I also ask her to pick up carryout on her way over some nights, just like I do for her.
