I couldn't do it. I never have either. I reckon I'd be in trouble within the first hour or so. Too loud of pipes, a knife left laying on my truck seat...whatever. No LTCH there either, I bet. The women would die of laughter at my Levi's and t-shirt with some Justins or Wolverine Durashocks. Kick me out, I wanna go home PLEASE!!!

You can't profile the two groups this way. You compompartmentalize ppl like this and you'll end up missing out on a lot of potential great friendships.

I depends on what it is. If you starting talking about 4X4 trucks with 44"s, built V8s, fishing, guns etc.. Some metro guy calls you out and calls you a redneck or makes some little dingy comment. They aren't your friends in that case. The guys around here and I would make you p*ss your pants in less than twenty minutes!

I lived most my life in West Virginia and now live in Montana. I don't refer to myself as a country boy.

It depends on how you still feel about things, I suppose. I know guys I went to high school with that moved on to some big metro city. They still never forgot their roots. I remember one had gotten a lot of parking tickets the first summer there! "What, you mean I have to pay to park?" LOL He also got into trouble for loud pipes on his car right off the bat. The landlord got mad at him for having a burning Weber charcoal grill on his apartment porch on the fifth floor. He still complains about things when I see him.

I was born outside of D.C., then moved to the family farm in Ohio, then back to the burbs of D.C. in my teens/college years, then got married at 23 and moved the HE*L out of that rat race. Never looked back.

Can't stand city life, at all. Helena MT is still too big for my tastes, but being surrounded by a million acres of immediate forest and lakes sure makes up for it!
