Young women are extremely good at torturing young men. Men need direct, incisive and to the point communication with a heaping tablespoon of finality in order to get a solid grasp on "its over." Women want men to be insightful enough not to have to say anything direct, incisive or to the point. Later, when the man isn't getting the message, the woman resents the man for being thick headed. The best thing you can do is play it cool and make a public display of your desirability to other women. Then she'll be more responsive.
