Went to see Fireproof with my husband. I felt better because my lovely dog died in my arms Thursday evening.

I knew I would be alone for 4 days, so I took my dog and we went down the Minnesota River Valley. Only problem was the road construction and detours! Grrrr! Dog didn't mind; he'd had a big day and slept through it all and still is.

I took a nap with the cats. Isn't it funny how what is your pet peeve (not getting anything done due to napping) can also be the most comfortable?

My dad was here and we were going to shoot Wobble but ended up shooting skeet instead. He kicked my arse but we had fun

Got home and did some yard work...it was a beautiful day here. In the mid 70's and a little breeze.

I am so sorry. It is terrible to lose a beloved pet. My dog died in my arms a few years ago and I still miss her terribly but she still makes me smile.

Yes, I was petting him and he was licking my face. He turned around and I hugged him. He then fell backward in my arms. I thought he was playing. I guess he had a heart attack. He was only 8 months old.

My husband doesn't like dogs and probably won't let me have another one.

Thank you. I miss him so much.

But, because this is a happy thread - I want to thank God that he allowed Roscoe, my Lab, to be with me in the end. Thank you, Jesus!!

8 months! Soooo very sorrry. When they're young they're so cute, when they're adult, they're your buddy, and when they're old, they've been with you for the long haul. So no time is a good time. Sympathies.
