In three days with two snowstorms, I have now shoveled my long driveway a total of three times. And the reason it makes me happy is that at my age, I am pleased that I am physically fit enough to do it. My back feels great! I think that this year, between the waitressing and getting a second Labrador retriever, I'm getting in better shape (more muscle).
I made my first pilgrimage to our new Sephora! Not that the other stores don't carry most of the brands, but I loooove Sephora for letting you play with everything IN PEACE! Whoever manages it is smart - the prices are the same as at the cosmetics counters in the malls, but I bet my rear end they make a lot more sales by leaving people alone! So, my birthday baggie looks good!
Well, yesterday morning I took a drive with my son and boyfriend, that afternoon I made cookies with 2 of my best friends and in the evening my boyfriend came over - we ate pizza and he opened this Christmas presents since he is going to be out of town with his parents for Christmas.
After starting out at 6.30 am I got back home after running myself ragged all over town at about 1.00pm our time, gave the doggies some new toys I bought, turned off the ringer on all the phones, turned off cell phones, went up stairs, got into bed and watched "The Pursuit of Happyness" for the first time. Fell asleep with doggies on bed. Awoke 2 hours later, brought up a carton of freshly squeezed organic apple juice, gulped it down while I watched "Magnolia".
This evening I orderded dinner from an idian restaurant.
I'm happy that Monday flew by quickly. I'm also happy that it is a short work week.
Chow!
