I've had a pretty darn good week! It started with last Saturday, when I impulsively stopped by some antique malls to poke around and found some great sterling silver serving pieces marked and priced as silverplate. Then yesterday, I was asked to be full time at my part time job, which will give me $4 a month health insurance. And I had a good day at work today. My luncheon guests had two speakers talking about plant chemistry and brown dwarf stars.

I don't understand why the insurance is so cheap. I know that it's a group rate thing and my employer does have a huge number of employees... but it's such a huge difference from an individual policy and at my age. Union dues will be something like $42 every two weeks, but I think that mentally, I will consider those fees part of my health insurance premium.
One of the serving pieces is a sterling soup ladle in my boyfriend's mom's pattern... I don't know if I should save it for her Christmas present or eBay it. Hmmm....
