I pay attention to Hollywood business gossip, and some Hollywood gossip trickles down, since I'm in "the biz" but I agree, it's so annoying when girls know ALL of this stuff about celebrities, yet could be spending that time learning something actually useful.
And I totally agree with what you said about the "What did you do today" or "lately" question. I usually get something like, "Nothin' just watched some TV, went to work... that kinda stuff." It's hard to respond much to that. "Oh, that's cool... how was work?" "Boring." "Oh, that's too bad." There just isn't enough to talk about with some people, and if you actually did anything useful with your day, it comes across like bragging about it to someone like that.
Jonathan, just the other day you were berating a group of posters because they did not care about the lives of actors and you said they were "idiots" for not caring...now you are telling us that you find women annoying who know all about celebrities...hmmmmmmm.....

She_Was, I am a successful business owner and have been for years. My point of what I said was that you do not need an advanced education to attain an above average living or to be considered intelligent. I am highly intelligent, and I would not take back a day of fun I had back in the day, or the fun that I have in the now. Some of the most stupid people I have met were those who prided themselves on being above the rest because of a piece of paper, membership to a society, etc. They lack in dealing with day to day problems and stresses.
There is a difference between intelligence - and an intellect that is so boring and that it should come with not only a warning label for the other, but also, a razor blade for a way out.
You've mentioned that this is a new discovery for you. I can understand that you are feeling good, however, my hunch is that your feet were a little more grounded into the Earth back then. Your discovery seemed to have sucked the fun out of you, and replaced it with arrogance. You may want to consider doing a self inventory, you sound a bit cultist trying to summon to the intelligent beings of the land to the others, and a bit robotic.
I find it incredibly hard to believe that her "genius" IQ was "just" discovered...a truly gifted individual is easy to spot by educators in the early years of school. Genius does not just sneak up on an unsuspecting person...I'm calling BS on this one...
