have you ever thought about "empathizing" with her. Maybe she sees you as being difficult for not answering your phone. It works both ways.

What I have found to be effective is to redirect the seeker warhead.

Get her to start talking about a former boyfriend. Encourage her, Give her the best advise you can muster.

Ultimately explain to her that she and her former were "Meant for each other". Explain that he is likely just confused.

You have to get her thinking hat with just a "little more work" she could succeed with her former boyfriend.

NOTE: once the lock is broken.....DON"T re-engage. This just might be the perfect time to book your trip to the Amazon rainforest.
